Rubber bellows are the core business of BARBIERI RUBBER, specialized in their design and production from more than 40 years.

The use of a rubber bellows is varied, being simply a protection. It is normally installed on bodies with axial movement (pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic cylinders and linear actuators in general), but in other applications it protects organs with different movements (eg angular) or even stationary (shift cables, air passage). It can not be applied if there’s a difference in pressure between outside and inside.

The set of modular bellows is ideal for emergencies (being always in stock all sizes in two materials: NBR black and orange food grade silicone), for particular sizes because of the possibility to punch collars and to include joints to obtain different lengths and races permits to adapt the protection bellows on device.

For emergencies and samples you can find modular bellows on stock, adaptable to any size, race and length. For production with convincing quantities, it’s reasonable to realize new equipment from a studied purposely drawing or use one of the 300 models of bellows that we already have.

Because of the change in volume inside the protection bellows during closing and opening phases is often needed a breathing hole, in case of dusty or abrasive materials in suspension you can request a special filter that keeps clean all the air inside the body of the bellows.

The rubber bellows, modular or standard, should not be used in case of different pressure between outside and inside. If inside there is a depression it’s possible to fit steel rings inside the bellows coils to contrast the push of the pressure.
